The sensors then transmit their raw data to a central hub, where it’s processed by artificial intelligence and then sent back to the intersections using 5G-enabled cell networks.
These systems are intelligent and allow for better and more accurate simulation of scenarios that reduce risks, which humans cannot do. All this in real-time. This is a significant step towards Vision Zero, the goal of a safe road that ensures cars and human beings are able to travel together without collision.
